Introduction: Taking advantage of the power of Xbox 360 Project Sylpheed confronts players with a staggering number of enemy craft to destroy, making the game much more than just a retro-update. Not only are enemies more numerous than ever before, they're larger, with opposition craft hundreds of times the size of Katana's ship. |
Features: Customisable attack craft: Katana pilots a Delta Saber fighter which boasts 3 main weapons and a sub weapon - the Delta Saber's weaponry can be tailored to the player's specifications with a choice from over 50 different weapon types unlocked as the game progresses. Variation in levels: Stages are often split into 3 different waves to increase variety. The first may involve destroying an attack craft, the second protecting an allied battleship, the third, defeating a large missile. Strong narrative: Despite being developed by Game Arts, Square Enix's RPG legacy shines through in the game's story telling. Project Sylpheed's protagonist is Katana, who through the course of the game must face his best friend Margras, while experiencing a host of other dramas. Enriching the narrative is over 50 minutes of CG cutscenes.
