Description

Introduction:

This is GT Concept.

Gran Turismo Concept 2002 Tokyo-Geneva uses a simplified version of the superb Gran Turismo game system, removing the time-consuming Gran Turismo Mode, to concentrate instead on arcade-style, instant accessibility – creating an environment where even beginners can play with ease.

Gran Turismo Concept 2002 Tokyo-Geneva also includes a selection of brand new cars from Japan, Korea and Europe and 5 exciting courses from previous Gran Turismo titles to be played alone or with up to 5 other players (if used with i-link).
Features:

Instant accessibility - Omitting the absorbing but extremely involved Gran Turismo Mode (as seen in previous full versions of Gran Turismo) means that GT Concept provides more of a quick-fix approach: switch on; jump in; floor it.

Cars as far as you can see - Despite the game’s trimmed-back size, there are still more cars from more manufacturers in GT Concept than offered by any other racing game series – close to a hundred cars to choose from, provided by manufacturers from Japan, Europe, Korea and the USA.

The concept - The title of the game refers to the fact that the game features a number of concept cars, of a sort usually only seen on stands at a motor show. You’ll also drive the usual wide range of production models, as well as race-developed variations, full-on racing cars, rally cars and fantasy models.

Among the stunning concept vehicles you’ll drive are the Lotus Elise Type 72, the Volkswagen W12, the Mercedes SL55AMG, the Audi Abt TT and the Toyota Pod.

Tracks - There are five tracks to race on, dotted about the world from the Tahiti Maze to Tokyo. Owners of any of the Gran Turismo series will recognise Midfield Raceway (from GT3); Autumn Ring (from GT); Swiss Alps (GT3) and Tahiti Maze (GT3). Making its first appearance is a new street circuit, Tokyo R246.

Longevity - The Gran Turismo series offer an average playing time in excess of 100 hours in order to complete the game. Gran Turismo Concept is aimed instead at providing arcade thrills and spills, with the emphasis on re-playing races and a more compact game design. However, the estimated playing time to complete GT Concept is still an enormous 30 hours.

Bonuses - There are four special bonuses to be gained from the game: a GT3 opening film; a GT3 ending film; Pod racing, and credits for GT3 A-spec.

Multi-player modes - As usual, there is an immaculate 2 player mode and, if you have an i.LINK, the option to play with up to six people that boasts replay improvements.
