Introduction: Two of Konami's foremost developers bring a new action game to the PlayStation 2. The Sword of Etheria carries the prestige of popular Konami titles Castlevania, and Suikoden, guaranteeing terrific fighting action and beguiling storyline. Our hero is a young boy named Fiel, raised by his sister Dorothy, having lost his parents at an early age. Although they are human, Fiel and Dorothy can tap into their world's magical power, Etheria. They also own a special cat named Toto, able to transform itself into a sword. Fiel and Dorothy share their ability with spiritual creatures call Katina, employed by the Gods to tyrannise mankind. However, Fiel has been able to liberate two of them from their divine shackles, bringing them under his own command. They now fight together to rescue their world from the God's control, and reclaim the life-living power of Etheria. Action is focused on weapons-based combat, whereby three characters fight alongside each other employing dramatic team-based moves. Battle scenes are at their most impressive when team mates are brought into play, juggling opponents between each other. The most powerful moves involve all three characters, but must be precisely executed. Fiel's allies act independently, but can also be given direct commands for special circumstances. Players will recruit new Katina, and are responsible for developing their skills. Points earned in battle may be used to boost attributes or to create new equipment used in later battles. |
Features: New adventure from the creators of Castlevania and Suikoden. Issue commands to your champions for aid in battle. Create huge combos involving all three of your characters. Use points to craft new items and to develop new skills. Superb characters and worlds with majestic musical score. |
