Introduction: AV input stands for Audio/Visual input, which is a common label on a connector to receive (AV) audio/visual signals from electronic equipment that generates AV signals (AV output). These terminals are commonly found on such equipment as a television, DVD recorder or VHS recorder, and typically take input from a DVD player, a TV tuner, VHS recorder or camcorder. HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a compact audio/video interface for transferring uncompressed video data and compressed/uncompressed digital audio data from a HDMI-compliant device ("the source device") to a compatible computer monitor, video projector, digital television, or digital audio device. HDMI is a digital replacement for existing analog video standards. This HDMI to AV Converter enables you to connect your compatible hardware device with an HDMI interface to a projector, LCD, TV and/or Monitor with an AV interface (AV Cable Not Included). If your source hardware device cannot offer enough output power, you would then need to connect a mini USB cable for additional power. This adapter is not bi-directional and can only support signals from HDMI source devices to AV compatible displays. Note: Images are for representation purposes only.
