Discover amiibo, a brand new way to interact with your favourite Nintendo characters and games. Amiibo are a series of Nintendo character toys that interact with multiple games on the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS consoles. Hero:

From the DRAGON QUEST series, Hero is a collective title given to the player. This DRAGON QUEST Hero is commonly known from DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age.

A young man raised in the sleepy village of Cobblestone. Upon participating in the village's coming-of-age ceremony, he learns a surprising truth: he is the reincarnation of the legendary "Luminary" - a hero who saved the world in ages past - and has a grand destiny awaiting him...

Eager to find out for himself what the Luminary really is and what his destiny means, the young man leaves his village behind and sets out into the wider world.

Wielding the Supreme Sword of Light and a trusty shield, he can slice his foes and block incoming attacks.
Features:

When an amiibo is placed on the GamePad, that character will be brought into the game. Players can either watch the character battle other characters, battle alongside the character, or battle against the character. The more the amiibo is played, the more it levels up, unlocking different moves, equipment, and customisation options. They will also level up faster when pitted against other amiibo fighters.

Wide range of characters:

Amiibo went on sale at the launch of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, with more characters set to be announced in 2015. Characters already announced include Mario, Link, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, and many more!

Connect to a wide range of games:

In addition to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, you'll be able to use amiibo in a number of other games, and how they're used depends on the game. Additional compatible games include Mario Party 10 and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

See your amiibo battle and watch it grow:

In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, you can transfer the data from your amiibo so it can appear in the game and fight for you. As your amiibo fights, it will develop its own unique attributes and skills, becoming stronger and learning new moves. You can even add your own twist to combat by customising special moves!

Compatible with Nintendo 3DS and 2DS:

As well as working with the Nintendo Wii U, amiibo can also be used with Nintendo 3DS and 2DS consoles via an accessory that is planned for release in 2015. Amiibo will also be compatible with the New Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL.
